Michael Bicksel

Research Assistant

About

Hello! I am a student at the University of Chicago. I'm currently an intern in the Office of the West Virginia Attorney General for the Solicitor General's division. I recently completed an internship in the Hermann Center for the Federal Budget at the Heritage Foundation. I formerly served as Deputy Policy Coordinator for Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears's gubernatorial campaign in Virginia.

I have also worked as  a research assistant with a focus on administrative law, specifically on the major questions doctrine and judicial deference. I previously worked for Linda Jellum, professor at the University of Idaho College of Law, and Lawrence Cunningham, the Director of the Weinberg Center for Corporate Governance at the University of Delaware.

Check out the "Projects" page includes a comprehensive list of papers, projects, etc. I've worked on and researched for. That page also includes my non-academic posts, where I've been published or cited in the Washington Post, the Yale Journal on Regulation, the Washington Times, Townhall.com, the Daily Signal, and the Chicago Thinker. I've also authored regulatory comments to the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Office of Management and Budget.
